Application
RECOMMENDED USE:
- Shake well every time before using the product.
- Grey Coat Waterproofing Primer can be used on all properly prepared exterior gray structures and basements to form a protective barrier against seepage of water.
- Grey Coat Waterproofing Primer can be used before tiling.
- Grey Coat Waterproofing Primer can be used before installing cabinets and cupboards on gray surfaces to avoid dampness.
- Grey Coat Waterproofing Primer can be used as an extra layer of water seepage protection on roofs, balconies, and any other flat surfaces.
- Grey Coat Waterproofing Primer can be used as additional protection against water seepage between foundation and structural layer.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICTAION:
Any structural leakages and damages must be addressed / removed before applying Grey Coat Waterproofing Primer on desired surfaces.
Plaster surface:
- Clean surface thoroughly with emery paper or grinder.
- Use 1 liter household acid cleaner (hydrochloric acid “HCL”) into 10 liters of tap water. Use same 1:10 ratio for any quantity needed. Apply to surface with brush or roller. CAUTION: Use extreme care while conducting this treatment. In case of contact with skin or eyes, wash thoroughly with water and see a doctor for assistance if necessary.
- Wash surface thoroughly with running water.
- Allow the surface to dry completely.
- After surface is completely dried; apply first coat of Grey-Coat Waterproofing Primer.
- Allow approximately 1 hour for coated surface to dry then apply second coat.
- Wall putty and desired paint can be applied 24 hours after application of Grey-Coat Waterproofing Primer.
Painted Surface:
Scratch loose paint down to plaster surface with scraper then follow steps 1 to 7 from plaster surface above.
*Surface preparation is very important to ensure best waterproofing results
